Broken Back

“Dear Misfortune, Mother of Joy”, BROKEN BACK’s new EP, echoes this famous Albert Cohen quote: “Misery fathers tomorrow’s happiness”. Mixed by Pierrick Devin and N’to, the 4 tracks on “Dear Misfortune, Mother of Joy” sound like a hymn to the 1990s generation. Their sound seems to come out of a student accommodation, everything sounds DIY, hand-made. No big studio, no additional musicians.

Chapelier Fou

Five years have passed since Chapelier Fou has released his first EP. But five years are not so much, compared to the ground covered by the Lorraine (FR) born personality. Four EP’s, two albums, concerts all over the world, very various projects and getting an international fame. But time has not come to make a kind of inventory, because now, Louis is coming back with « Deltas », his third album, whose title is a sign of his ambitions: to exalt what is living, to give a new dimension to sound, to show his uniqueness.

Jay Jay Johanson

It was in 1996 that Jay-Jay Johanson, a young man from Sweden, fascinated by the Bristol sound they called trip-hop, first tapped delicately on our eardrums with Whiskey, an intoxicating album that definitively put this rare and elegant Swede on the map. Almost 20 years later he has returned with a new album, Opium. It contains the very essence of Johanson’s music: an ease with inventing melodies, a voice that gently caresses, and the jacked up, heady rhythms that lift and carry the songs.
